All children need to they are special, important, and unique in their own way. They need to know that they matter and what they have to say is important.

"I shall never forget the faces of the boys and the girls in that little Welhousen Mexican school, and I remember even yet the pain of realizing and knowing then that college was closed to practically everyone of those children because they were too poor. And I think it was then that I made up my mind that his nation could never rest while the door to knowledge remained closed to any American".

Aaliayah Berry

I met Aaliayah Berry when I first started to work at King's Headstart as a case worker in 2005. Aaliayah Berry was the first child I ever seen that had surgery on her heart twice in one year. Aaliayah had so much expectations and hope for her life and for her future to come. Inspite of all the pain, medication, and treatments, she still had the determination to propser as well as the other children at King's Headstart. My heart went out to her and her mother, as of this day Aaliayah Berry has accomplish alot and doing well for herself. She is now eight years old in the third grade.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

This book is very colorful. What I love about the book is it talked about an insect which it is a butterfly. I loved watching colorful butterflies during the summer, butterflies are the most beautiful creatures that God could ever create. I can think of many ways of using this book if I was a teacher, such as numbers, colors, life cycle of a butterfly, days of the week, and on nutrition. Also to create a caterpillar I will make circles to connect the circle, add legs, eyes, and antenna. This book will be a great inspiration for the preschoolers and kindergardners children.

Quote

I hear and I forget
I see and I remember
I do and I understand

Chinese Proverb

Personal Childhood Web

Personal Childhood Web
"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." 1 Cor.13:11 In my opinion this is a beautiful biblical quote. I was raised to believed that following this pattern of thinking would benefit me in the grand scheme of life as an adult. However there are somethings about my childhood that to this day I still practice, there are some people whose examples that I have pattern my life after. As well there are some influential words that were spoken to me that to this day I use those words to govern my choices in life.

My Aunt Louella was a good christian woman she was a gentle woman who never spoke loud to a person or child she always used her inner voice. She always like to be in church every Sunday she did not like to hear a child put down their parents because she said parents do their best for their children whether it is right or wrong at the time. The children should respect and obey their parents. Because Aunt Louella was around me everyday I saw these qualities as a attributes. She possed and I wanted to be like her someday so I  patterned my life after these beautiful qualities that I saw from day to day.

Mrs. Boston my fifth grade teacher was a grade school teacher of mine she always their to encourage the children to do their work and to be on their best behavior. She always said that all the children needed is little motivation behind them, someone to help them with their work at home. To some degree she could very well be my initial reason for desiring to teach.

My father Luther was a tall man who drove trucks for a living he worked that job for about 30years. He was a friendly person he got along with others people very well basically he was well like. He influence me by wanting to get a better education for my self and to be the best that I can be because he did not finish school, he dropped out of school at an early age. My father and I had a good relationship even though he was not in the home with me. My father word of wisdom have stuck with me all this time especially when he "use to say what ever you do do your best and always treat the person that throws a brick and hide their hand with a long handle spoon." He made me feel special because no matter what mistakes or problems arise he was there and he would say Camisa always be careful of what you are doing, my father and was always there for me.

My friend Faye taught me to really share. We met in the fourth or fifth grade and she told me she did not have a mother and I remember feeling sad because I had a mother and she did not even though I felt at the time I did not have the greatest mother but I did have one. We grew up to be the best of friends and when I need someone to talk to or when I am in a jam she is always there to lend a helping hand. Faye often tell our children hoe we met and how we became friends. She is a very giving person she is always helping out different kinds of organization and always giving to others that are in need. She said that the Lord has bless her with a wonderful life and family and that's why she gives like she does and that the Lord will continue to bless her. This life long example of self-lessness has been a part of my everyday goal to be a better person to everyone I meet.

My mother Norma was a schoolteacher also at Headstart, she was kind of mean and sometimes negative about somethings. She did not let me go outside and play or go walking with other children. The only places I could go would be to church, school and to the store. Basically I was always in the house with her she influence me by wanting to be a better a better parent to my children and always to have a positive effect on them and to let them know that I will always be there for them and to listen to them and let them know that I will always be there. My mothers example of parenting may have had some flaws by today's standards, but none the less it has been her example and words that I reflect to for the choices that I made as a mom.

Late Assignment

Just now doing a blog I knew that it was something simple but I could not comprehend what I had to do.  Iam use to doing things one way or the old way, so I had to really sit down and get it and after doing the blog I was amaze at how simple it was to do.
