What insights have you gained about research from taking this course?
The insights that I gained from taking this course is that research is not easy to do. You have to take out time to pick your topic and get the right information that you need to make your research valid.
In what ways have your ideas about the nature of doing research changed?
My ideas about doing research has change by taking this course because I found out that there is more to do than just pick a topic. I learned that you must know how to do research correctly and that there is more than one method to use.
What lessons about planning, designing, and conducting research in early childhood did you learn?
What I learned about conducting research in early childhood is that the information must be valid, research must be done correctly, and you must have ethics to go by and to make sure that the researchers stay within the guidelines.
What were some of the challenges you encountered and in what ways did you meet them?
By reading and doing research, was very new to me, I met the challenges by reading the different articles and text that was assigned in the resources for us to read and also by looking at other articles on the internet. In our application assignment, I choose information that I did not know about to get a better understanding of the topic.
What are some of the ways your perceptions of an early childhood professional have been modified as a result of this course?
My perceptions of early childhood professional have not been modified because I am still learning and still new to the early childhood program. Later on in the program as I learn and grow in the field of early childhood I can then say how my perceptions of early childhood has been modified.
